Frequently Asked Questions
The Crossroads of
Confidence and Connection
A transformational on-ranch leadership experience
inspired by the wisdom of horses.
What is The Crossroads of Confidence and Connection? Who is this retreat for?
The Crossroads is a transformational leadership retreat for accomplished, heart-centered women who are ready to step into their power with authenticity, courage and compassion. Whether you’re navigating burnout, seeking deeper clarity, or simply want to reconnect with your core values, this retreat is for you.
What makes this retreat different from others?
We combine decades of leadership experience with the intuitive wisdom of horses to create an experience that’s grounded, heartfelt, and unforgettable. Our work is experiential, not theoretical. With a small group of women, you’ll explore what it means to lead without force, connect without losing yourself, and grow in an environment of mutual respect and emotional safety.
Do I need horse experience to attend?
No horse experience is necessary.
- All activities are done on the ground with calm, well-trained horses.
- You’ll never be asked to ride, and you can choose your level of participation in all horse-related exercises.
- You will be grooming and leading your equine friends.
- This experience is strictly limited to twelve participants, (sometimes split into groups) so everyone will get instruction as needed.
What do I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothes. You will get dirty!
We will be in the foothills, so weather can change quickly. Even warm days cool off considerably in the evenings. Layers with a jacket is a great idea.
When you are near the horses, closed-toe shoes or boots are required.
What else do I need to bring?
- Sunscreen and bug spray.
- Please be kind to the environment. Bring a water bottle.
- Bring your curiousity and your questions.

The Experience & Safety

What safety protocols are in place?
We begin with a thorough horse safety briefing and all activities are facilitated by experienced professionals. Emergency procedures are in place, and participant safety—emotional and physical—is always our priority.
Is the ranch accessible for people with mobility challenges?
- Our ability to accommodate mobility challenges is limited.
- The terrain may be uneven and includes gravel paths and pasture land.
- If you have mobility concerns, please contact us in advance to discuss accessibility options.
How physically demanding is the retreat?
While no riding or strenuous activity is required, you’ll be walking and standing for parts of the day. We take breaks, move at a gentle pace, and prioritize your well-being.
