The Fiercely Humane Leadership Journey

A Six-Month Leadership Immersion

For high-achieving women who are done choosing between being liked and being respected — and ready to lead from both, for good.

Does this sound familiar?

You’ve built a career on capability. You know how to get things done. You are the woman others turn to, depend on, look up to.

And yet.

There are moments — in meetings, in conversations, in the quiet of your own car on the way home — when you wonder if what you have is all there is.

You’ve noticed the pattern. When you lean into connection, you leave interactions feeling unseen, unappreciated. Quietly resentful — of others for walking over you, and of yourself for letting them.

Or you’ve gone the other way. Driven so hard, so long, that the people around you felt it. And now you’re wondering what that cost you.

Either way, you’re tired of adjusting. Tired of choosing. Tired of being a slightly smaller, slightly softer, slightly more managed version of the leader you actually are.

You don’t have to choose between connection and respect. You can lead from both. And this is where you learn how.

What becomes possible

When capable women stop adjusting and start leading, something shifts — not just in how they show up, but in how the world responds to them.

You become clearer. More grounded. More present. People feel the difference before they can name it.

The conversations that used to throw you off? You meet them differently now. The moments that used to cost you sleep? You move through them with steadiness you didn’t have to perform.

And that doesn’t stay in the boardroom. It lives in you — in how you walk into a room, how you begin a hard conversation, how you hold yourself when the pressure is on.

That is what this program is designed to create. Not techniques. Not scripts. A transformation.

What women experience at the ranch.

I came expecting a peaceful weekend. What I experienced was something far deeper.

I felt completely safe to show up as my authentic self, something I didn’t realize I was missing. The work with the horses helped me reconnect with how I truly feel without judgment.

I left with a sense of peace, clarity, and direction that is already shaping both my personal and professional life.

Jocelyn was able to create and guide me through a day that allowed reflection, insight, being courageous, and allowing myself to be vulnerable.

I enjoyed the time with the horses, and Jocelyn’s guidance in seeing a bigger point of view in how I can show up in the world. It’s been a remarkable experience.

I can’t recommend Jocelyn’s event enough.

If you get the opportunity, sign up and do it.

‘Cause it’s amazing and I think everyone has taken away something different, a little piece of their own and sharing that has been really been quite magical.

The method

Where the horses come in

There is something that happens when a woman stands in a pasture and leads something undeniably bigger and stronger than herself — without force, without bribery, without pretending to be something she isn’t.

The horse doesn’t respond to your title. It doesn’t care about your credentials. It responds to your presence. Your groundedness. The truth of how you’re actually showing up in that moment.

You can’t fake it. And that’s exactly the point.

The equine facilitated work at the heart of this program creates an experience your body remembers long after your mind has moved on.

The Cowgirl’s Compass — built on four capacities: Tenderness, Toughness, Truth, and Tact — gives that experience a language and a framework you carry back into your real life.

Back into the meetings. The relationships. The moments that matter.

A Note from Jocelyn

For most of my early adult life, I led like a driver.

I got things done. I made decisions. I moved people and projects forward with a kind of certainty that worked — until it didn't. I'd spent a decade in leadership roles in the oil and gas industry without anyone seriously objecting to my style.

Then I stood in a round pen with a lovely little mare named Lila.

I'd recently imported her from California, and I was learning how to handle her on the ground. In the middle of the pen was a large wooden block. My job seemed simple: get Lila to step up onto it, following me where she wouldn't choose to go on her own.

Lila wasn't so clear on the concept. She danced from side to side rather than stepping forward and up. I interpreted this as refusing to cooperate.

So naturally, I tried harder. I pushed. I insisted. I explained my expectations very clearly.

Which works about as well with a horse as it does with a teenager.

Lila planted her feet, reared up, and spun away — pulling the rope right through my hands. That was her very effective way of declaring that I was doing leadership all wrong.

I brought everything I knew into that pen. The clarity. The decisiveness. The forward momentum. And she was completely unimpressed.

What she was waiting for, I didn't even know I'd left behind.

Presence. Softness. The willingness to connect before I directed.

It took a horse to show me that I'd been leading with half of myself. That the tenderness I was capable of — the part that could slow down, listen deeply, and meet someone where they actually were — I'd left at the gate.

That was the beginning of what I now call Fiercely Humane leadership.

Not soft. Not hard. Not a careful balance between the two.

Both. Fully. At the same time.

I built this program because I've watched too many capable women doing exactly what I was doing — succeeding by every external measure, and privately wondering why it still doesn't feel quite like them. Women who have more to give than the version of themselves they've been presenting.

If you've ever tried to lead people, raise kids, run a business, or simply get through a difficult conversation — you probably know exactly what I mean.

The horses know it before you do.

The Journey is six months of catching up to what they see.

I'd be honoured to ride that trail with you.

Is this for you?

This program is for you if…

You are a high-achieving woman who has worked hard and built something real — and who suspects there is a deeper, truer version of your leadership waiting to emerge.

You are tired of the either/or. Either respected or liked. Either strong or warm. Either successful or fulfilled. You’re ready for both.

You’ve done some inner work and you’re not starting from zero — but you know that talk-based coaching alone hasn’t moved the needle the way you hoped.

You are ready to be changed by something you can’t fully predict or control. That’s not a warning. That’s an invitation.
