I came expecting a peaceful weekend. What I experienced was something far deeper.
I felt completely safe to show up as my authentic self, something I didn’t realize I was missing. The work with the horses and sound sessions helped me reconnect with how I truly feel without judgment.
I left with a sense of peace, clarity, and direction that is already shaping both my personal and professional life.
I have been amazed by it all. Jocelyn was able to create and guide me through a day that allowed reflection, insight, being courageous, and allowing myself to be vulnerable.
I enjoyed the time with the horses, and Jocelyn’s guidance in seeing a bigger point of view in how I can show up in the world. It’s been a remarkable experience.

Calgary Stampede Royalty
As a Community Builder for the Calgary Stampede and First Nations Royalty Programs, Jocelyn mentors and supports the Princesses in developing communication, leadership and public speaking skills throughout their year of service.
While many people see the glamour of Stampede week, the role extends far beyond July. Throughout their reign, the Princesses represent the Calgary Stampede at nearly four hundred community events, schools, ceremonies and public appearances across Alberta and beyond.
One of the greatest privileges of Jocelyn’s work is witnessing the transformation that happens over the course of the year — watching young women grow not only in confidence and competence, but in self-trust, presence and authentic leadership.
Her involvement begins with all contestants, who participate in a communications workshop designed to help them strengthen presentation skills, build confidence and develop tools they can carry into every area of life — whether or not they are ultimately crowned.
An incredible experience. I learned life-long lessons that I hope to share with others. I feel much more confident in my speaking and am more open to learning from my mistakes.
